I am a documentary and travel photographer from Istanbul, Turkey. I have been taking pictures for 22 years. My very early experience in my documentary work was for local magazines and local travel publications. It has always been my dream to work deeper on social subjects and cultural events in my country along with the lifestyles and cultures of other countries in the world. People are the main subject in my photography, even if in the absence of a person in my frame I usually want to show some traces of people in my photographs. It is my witness. Being exhibited one of my works on NYC Times Square billboards in 2010 (way before NFTs) boosted my encouragement to work on bigger projects. I completed 4 big projects between 2010-2015. For the last 10 years, I concentrated more on travel, streets, and lifestyle photography. I started my first project depicting the shift in a day of coal miners in 2010 in Zonguldak City, Turkey. It took me more than a year to finish the project with a total of 21 days of shooting sessions in this period and ended with 39 curated photos.
